Gala charity concert

On Saturday, 12th July we were entertained by Jackfield Band and trombone legend, Brett Baker. It was a fabulous evening and we raised over £1,900 for Severn Hospice - thank you! 

Formed in 1893, Jackfield band are a popular band in the Ironbridge area and always provide an entertaining and enjoyable concert - usually to a sold out crowd. Currently in the 1st section, the band had a great 2024 as they placed 2nd in the Midlands area contest and achieved an amazing 3rd place at the National Finals.

Brett has a prestigious background as a player, adjudicator and educator. He is the current principal trombone of Cory, having spent 24 years at Black Dyke, and has commissioned over 100 trombone solos.
